Race description

The Coyote Classic is a cross country mountain bike event held on the beautiful Franklin Mountains State Park, in El Paso, Texas. The venue is at the Tom Mays Unit. It is the last race of the New Mexico Off Road Series (NMORS). This year our race will be held rain or shine on Sunday, December 7, 2024. While this is a race, it’s also an amazing day on the mountain to make new friends and spend quality time with your fellow mountain bikers as well as with any outdoor enthusiasts!

8:00am – Racers Meeting

12:30pm – Podium Awards

The Course

The course is about 10 miles in length, and consists of rocky terrain trails, punchy climbs, fast descents, and one steep climb to finish the race. This course is not easy so please pre-ride it and determine if you are up for the challenge! If you’re not ready yet, then keep training and we will see you the following year.
